Texas doesn't equal constant weather --- February 10th

Howdy Family!

So this week was full of crazy things and so many fun adventures! We started out the week by trying lots of people and the weather was very cloudy and foggy! Then as the week went on we were able to gain a new investigator and set a baptismal date with Bud on a nice warm day of about 40-50 degrees and not much wind. We also were able to finally sit down and teach/talk with Hilda and Carlos. Both of which are ready and most prepared for the gospel and the blessings that come with them! I love meeting those whom the Lord has prepared because you really can just feel and see the light of Christ within them start to grow as there understanding and faith grows!
Starting on Wednesday we went on exchanges only instead of having to plan for 2 companionship in one area we just had one companionship in one area and the other went to the other area. It was very nice and much less stressful. I got to work with Sister Soules first and we had a grand time trying to stay warm cuz the temperature dropped again to about 20's plus windchill but hey we knocked some houses and talked with some great people! Then that evening I got to work in College Park which is a single ward, with Sister Turner. It was a lot of fun and they are teaching a couple really amazing people! Then this is when we went on a very fun unplanned adventure!
So on our way home I was the navigator and Sister Turner had a GPS but I didn't know the address to our apartment and figured if you just put everything into a GPS you will never know where you're going. So I told her to get onto Indiana and drive south because that would take us back in to the area that I know. Well she was a little impatient and decided she didn't want to go through the lights but wanted to get on the high way. Well we ended up some where in Lubbock that neither of us had seen and the High way had ended and we were back to 4th street...I live on like 78th. So I got to see the big high rise buildings in Lubbock and all the big city...basically all the roads here look like the spaghetti bowl in Salt Lake. Well to make a long story short. Sister Turner missed the exit to head in the right direction and we drove till the highway ended then we/I navigated our way back to the loop and back to my apartment. It was tons of fun for me but I think I was the only one who really enjoyed it. But ya it was sooo much fun and I got to see a little more of Lubbock!

Then the next morning it had SNOWED!!! Yup yet again there is snow and yup it just had to come on a Thursday! Well Thursday's are bike days. So guess what we did?? Yup we biked in the snow and had a really grand ol' time! It actually wasn't that cold and I had a fun time sliding on the icy roads! Plus since we were still on exchanges I was with Sis. Soules again and we went knocking again and met this really cool couple who are very catholic and actually active but they feel the spirit and I really think that they will love this gospel when they really put forth the effort to know the truth!
But ya then the rest of the week was continually fabulous! We had a really warm spell come in again and it was about 50-60s again and we were able to teach a great lesson with Becky who is our Jahova's Witness investigator. We taught here the Gospel of Jesus Christ and ready 2 Nephi 31 and it was a really great lesson! Then yesterday it was warm in the morning/afternoon and we had a great ward missionary meeting and it was great! Then we went in to an appointment and came out the the temperature had dropped again to about 30's then this morning we woke up and there are little snow flakes blowing around!
Got to love TEXAS!!!

Love ya'll and hope ya have a fabulous week!
